CappsNC CNC On-Machine Probing Software
CappsNC CNC On-machine Probing Software is a metrology software that works on any machine tool to produce metrology information through on-machine probing. This resulting information can be used for immediate cutting feedback to enable Smart Manufacturing. CappsNC generates full CMM style reports for in house analysis or sharing with a customer.
Multi-View graphics provide an easy to use graphical programming environment to create programs for any machine tool configuration.
CappsNC can connect with most machine tool controllers with a real time direct interface. CappsNC automatically creates a G-Code program from the DMIS program to enable easy on-machine probing. The machine operator can execute these programs in the same manner as regular cutting programs, or they can be executed by an automation cycle.
CappsNC displays a live 3D simulation of CNC on-machine probing.
Calculations are performed as soon as data is collected. The resulting metrology characteristics, such as best fitting data to CAD, can be written to the machine as an adaptive machining cycle. This results in simple automated on-the-fly decision making. This in turn, potentially reduces scrap/rework rates to save time and money.
